Ticket Information

Same day tickets are for sale at the ticket counter.
To make sure visitors have the best possible experience, tickets to TeNQ specify designated dates and times for admission.
Advanced ticket purchase is available in Japanese only.

Please Note:

Several exhibits at TeNQ incorporate large-screen video, sound, and blackout effects that do not allow us to admit children under 4 into the Museum. Also, children under 10 must be accompanied by someone of junior high school age or older.
Admission to TeNQ is at specific days and times only. Entry is not allowed outside your specific day and time.
Please be aware that after ticket purchase, we cannot accommodate cancellations, changes, or refunds for any reason.

Discounts for Persons with Disability

The discount price applies to disabled visitor and one companion (per person with disability).
If applicable, present your disability certificate (copy accepted) at the TeNQ ticket counter at the time of ticket purchase.
*This refund does not apply to tickets purchased at discount prices through travel agencies, etc.
*Not for use in conjunction with other discount tickets.

Discount re-entry tickets allowing two viewings of the Theater Sora programs are available now.

*Visitors wishing to reenter the museum should obtain a re-entry ticket at the ticket counter (600 yen each).*You can buy a re-entry ticket after exiting the Museum by showing your regular-priced ticket stub (for the same day only) at the ticket counter.

Admission Procedures

  1. Please visit TeNQ within the admission time specified on your ticket. We cannot allow admission if your scheduled time has passed. We also cannot accommodate changes or refunds for any reason.
  2. Please receive a queuing ticket. Staff will hand out queuing tickets at the entrance. Upon entering TeNQ, you will be guided to two presentation areas. Visitors are allowed inside based on a fixed audience size for the viewing space. This may result in a short wait time before admittance.
  3. Feel free to browse the entrance displays or visit the TeNQ Space Store until your admission time.
  4. Please return to the entrance at the time specified on your queuing ticket.

∙ Same day tickets may be sold out due to (online and 7-Eleven) advanced purchase numbers.
∙ Same day tickets are sold at the TeNQ ticket counter.

∙ Please choose your desired admission time from the pre-set admission time schedule.
*You may need to wait in line for a while during peak hours and tickets may be unavailable if they are sold out in early in the day.
∙ After issuance, tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded, changed, or reissued. Please be aware of this before purchase.
∙ To purchase tickets at the student or senior discount prices, please show ID with proof of age at the TeNQ ticket counter.

*Please read the following before purchasing tickets.

  • Due to the large-scale video and visual effects, including sound, blackouts, and flashing images, we do not allow children under 4 into the Museum. Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone of junior high school age or older.
  • Exhibit videos may cause physical discomfort, such as vertigo, to some viewers due to visual effects. The following viewers are urged to exercise extra caution: small children, elderly visitors, pregnant women, visitors in poor physical condition, visitors prone to motion sickness, visitors with abnormal blood pressure, visitors with heart disease, visitors who are hypersensitive to loud noises, strobe lights, and other special effects, and visitors prone to phobias such as acrophobia, nyctophobia, claustrophobia, etc.
  • The Museum's hours of operation may change, or the Museum may close, due to weather conditions and equipment trouble.
  • Please be aware that after ticket purchase, we cannot accommodate cancellations, changes, or refunds for any reason.
  • Admission is at specific days and times only. Entry is not allowed outside your specific day and time. After admission, you will be guided sequentially to two presentation areas. In order to provide the best viewing environment, visitors are admitted one audience group at a time, with fixed audience sizes. The approximate time for the two videos is 30 minutes total. Please be aware that during peak times there might be a short wait in order to let the previous group finish viewing the video. After viewing the theater presentations, please feel free to browse the exhibits at your leisure.
  • If you exit the Museum at any time, you will not be allowed to reenter.
  • We are not able to accommodate ticket reservations by phone for non-group visitors.

Annual Passports

Upgrade your current ticket to a TeNQ annual passport.
After your TeNQ tour, visitors with applicable tickets are eligible to purchase a passport only on the day of your visit to TeNQ.
Costing the same as about three regular admission tickets, a passport allows unlimited visits to TeNQ.
Passports are valid for one year from the date of issue.

Purchasing TeNQ Annual Passports

- First purchase either an advanced reservation ticket until the day before you visit the Museum, or a same day ticket at the TeNQ ticket counter.
- If TeNQ was to your liking, take your ticket stub to the ticket counter (before the end of the day on which you visit TeNQ), and ask for an annual passport.
*Passports are issued until 8:00 PM.
*For visitors exiting the Museum after 8:00 PM (typical visits last from 1.5 to 2 hours), and visitors who would like a passport before entering the Museum,
  please inquire at the ticket counter.
(Please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate some requests during very crowded times.)
- After presenting your ticket stub and paying the upgrade fee, an annual passport will be issued.

E.g.:

(1) Enter the Museum on Jan. 1, 2015 with a 1,800-yen same day ticket for 1 adult.
(2) After your visit, present your ticket stub at the TeNQ ticket counter on the same day, Jan. 1, 2015. Staff will make an annual passport for you.
(3) Pay the 3,000-yen upgrade fee to receive your passport, valid until Dec. 31, 2015.

Important Purchase Information for Annual Passports

- You will need to fill out an application form and have your picture taken when the passport is issued. Please budget approximately 15 minutes,
  in addition to any time spent in line.
- Visitors entering TeNQ with admission free tickets(such as complimentary ticket) are not eligible for an annual passport via upgrade. Such visitors may receive an annual passport by paying the fee for a regular-priced passport.
- Persons with disability ID cards receive a disability discount for admission tickets, but will be charged the regular upgrade fee for passports.
- Issuance of passports will end when the limited number has been reached.

Entering the Museum after Passport Issuance

- Show your annual passport at the TeNQ ticket counter on the day of your visit. A Museum admission ticket will be issued free of charge.
- Please be aware that during peak times, you may not be able to enter the Museum on your preferred day or at your preferred time.
