"Cosmo Garden Project 2008"

Kanadevia Hall内外に広がる大宇宙空間が行き交う人々に「見る喜び」をプレゼント。

"Cosmo Flower" is a symbol that resembles a flower blooming in space.

The entrance to the hall is a space surrounded by yellow and white lace-like glass.

As you enter the hall, you will come to the long, bright red-walled space known as the "Space Corridor (REDMAGIC)."

The walls of the "Space Corridor" are lined with mysterious sponge-like objects (upper left → upper right → lower left → lower right)

"Caryatid" stands guard in the foyer of the hall.

And on the ceiling of the foyer is the painting "First Night," which represents the Big Bang.

The outdoor MEETS PORT Garden features the ceramic art piece "Josephine."

"Marilyn" is a pink flower object that bestows the power of the heart on places where people meet.

Aki Kuroda

1980Submitted to the French section of the Paris International Biennale (since then held solo exhibitions in Paris, New York and other countries around Japan)
1993Solo exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo
He was in charge of the stage design for the ballet "Parade," which was performed at the Paris Opera and the Avignon International Theater Festival. (A legendary masterpiece that premiered in 1917 with a libretto by Jean Cocteau, music by Erik Satie, and stage design by Picasso.)

1995Participated in the Sao Paulo Biennial
1998Collaboration with Tadao Ando (Kasugai, Aichi)
2003Responsible for all art works for Minamiyamashiro Village Primary School (designed by Richard Rogers) (Minamiyamashiro Village, Kyoto) (RIBA Royal British Architect International Award winner)
2005Cosmogarden 3 (Lyon Biennale Exhibition, Resonance)

Spring Waterfall

Located in front of Suidobashi intersection, MEETS PORT 's face changes appearance between day and night.

Looking up from the front of the Suidobashi intersection, in the middle of MEETS PORT, "Izuminotaki" waterfall warmly welcomes people passing by. The image of gushing water creates a mysterious landscape that exudes a sense of energy as well as a sense of coolness.
