Space Travelium TeNQでは、2025年7月から8月にかけて、暑さを避けた涼しい屋内で、子どもから大人まで楽しめる様々なイベントを開催します!
ワークショップや自由研究に役立つワークシート、講演会など、この夏はおもいっきり"宇宙"を楽しみませんか?

◆「ウニランプづくり」ワークショップ

天然のウニの殻を使ってランプをつくる、 KOKOPELLI+ オリジナルのワークショップです。同じ種類でも、ひとつひとつ大きさや形が異なるので、殻を選んだ瞬間から世界でたったひとつのランプづくりがはじまります。お子さまから大人まで楽しみながら制作でき、海の生物の神秘に触れることができます。今回はSpace Travelium TeNQ特別コラボとして、月や天体のパーツも限定でご用意します。

「KOKOPELLI+」とは

KOKOPELLI(ココペリ)は、ネイティブインディアンの精霊で、手に持っている笛を吹くと「地面から緑が吹き出し、花が咲き乱れ、動物たちは次々と繁栄していく」と言われています。つまり大地に命を与え、その地域に豊かな自然や恵みをもたらす精霊なのです。わたしたち「KOKOPELLI+ ココペリプラス」は、日常生活で自然と触れる機会の少ない現代の人々や社会に、ココペリのように、自然とのつながりを提供したいと考えております。「いつまでも人と自然がつながる社会を」それが私たちの願いです。

◆「月面着陸の日」ノベルティプレゼント

7月20日“月面着陸の日”は、1969年同日にアポロ11号が月面着陸に成功し人類が初めて月面に降り立ったことに由来した記念日です。この月面着陸の日にちなみ、7月20日(日)に入館された方に、先着でノベルティをプレゼントします。

◆ "Space TraveliumTeNQ" x "AniTouch Tokyo Dome City" mutual project

During the summer vacation period, Space Travelium TeNQ and AniTouch Tokyo Dome City will be offering a mutual discount service. In addition, elementary school students who use the facility on weekdays will be given a free "living creature observation sheet", which is also recommended for independent research.

Weekday-only benefits Space Travelium TeNQ and AniTouch Tokyo Dome City will be giving away "Living Creatures Observation Sheets" to the first 500 elementary school students who visit each facility. During the event, Space Travelium TeNQ will be hosting a special exhibition called "Space Walking Under the Sea" produced by Enoshima Aquarium. Using the worksheet, you can observe creatures such as moon jellyfish.

What is "AniTouch Tokyo Dome City"?

AniTouch Tokyo Dome City is the largest indoor petting zoo in Tokyo, boasting a total area of approximately 1,200 m2. It is the largest of all AniTouch and AniTouch PARK stores, and by utilizing this space, we have introduced a new area that has never been seen before.

◆Astronomy and Space Examination Collaboration Event

In collaboration with the "Astronomy and Space Examination," we will hold an event where you can experience Exhibition by Mayumi Umemoto, also known as the Observatory Madam, and Hiromichi Ito, a visiting professor and curator at Seisa University, and a mock exam of the "Astronomy and Space Examination." Participants will receive a certificate of attendance with an illustration by Reiji Matsumoto. *The mock exam will be at the 3rd to 4th grade level.

Observatory Madame Mayumi Umemoto

  • Astronomy writer whose husband is an astronomer. She writes humorous stories from the National Astronomical Observatory in the "Observatory Madame Diary," serials in astronomy magazines, writes for various media, and also gives talks and lectures making use of her experience in reporting. She is also a Level 2 Astronomy and Space Examination certified. She is one of the authors of the Level 4 Astronomy and Space Examination textbook.

Hiromichi Ito, Visiting Professor and Curator, Seisa University

  • He has worked at Hiratsuka City Museum as a curator of astronomy since 1976. In addition to planning and implementing planetarium operations for a wide range of audiences, from infants to students and the elderly, he has also been involved in special astronomy exhibitions, outreach activities, and written catalogs. He has served as the director of Hiratsuka City Museum and the chairman of the Japan Planetarium Council. He is currently a visiting professor and curator at Seisa University, and head of the SEISA Astronomy Club. His publications include "Mars Guidebook" and "Jupiter and Saturn Guidebook" (Koseisha Koseisha Publishing Co., Ltd.), among others.

What is the "Astronomy and Space Examination"?

A qualification test on astronomy and space. There are test questions of different levels of difficulty, from 1st to 4th grade. It is a test that can be taken by a wide range of people, from elementary school students to those with knowledge of specialized subjects at university level. The next test will be held on Sun. November 16, 2025.

◆夏休み特別トークイベント① テーマ:好適環境水

現在館内「LOUNGE Q」で展示中の宇宙養殖実験水槽「SPACE AQUARIUM-1」にちなみ、岡山理科大学 准教授の山本俊政さんをお招きしたトークイベントを開催します。

マダイもマグロも海より陸でよく育つ ~好適環境水最新研究、ついに宇宙へ~

Content

日本では魚の養殖施設が海の近くに多くありますが、山あいの地域では海水が使えず難しいという課題があります。そこで岡山理科大学は、海のない場所でも魚が育てられる「好適環境水」という特別な水を開発しました。地下水、河川水、水道水などにわずかな電解質を加えて作るこの水により、 クロマグロ、ヒラメ、トラフグ、クエ、タマカイ、ベニザケ、ニホンウナギ、ブラックタイガー、バナメイエビなど10種類以上の魚の養殖に成功。海水に頼らず、環境にやさしく地域活性化にもつながる技術です。現在は、この水を使って「月で魚を育てる」宇宙養殖の研究も進められています。今回の講演では、これらの取り組みをわかりやすく紹介します。

岡山理科大学 准教授/山本俊政 氏

  • 1958年岡山県生まれ。岡山理科大学准教授。子ども時代は岡山・児島湾のそばで魚に囲まれながら育つ。大手金属メーカーの研究員を経て、趣味だった熱帯魚の水槽設備をあつかう会社を設立。その後、岡山理科大学専門学校に移り、魚の養殖、ミドリイシサンゴの陸上増殖とサンゴ礁域への移植研究にたずさわる。2005年、カクレクマノミの大量繁殖に成功。2006年には海水でもない淡水でもない第3の水「好適環境水」を開発。海水を使わずに海水魚の飼育を可能にし、世界に驚きを与える。2009年に岡山理科大学工学部バイオ・応用化学科准教授に就任。2024年、生命科学部生物科学科生物生産コース新設にともない転出、現職に至る。

◆Summer Vacation Special Talk Event② Theme: Foraminifera

A special talk event will be held to commemorate the "Space Travelium TeNQ Special Exhibition "Underwater Space Walk" produced by Enoshima Aquarium," which is being held in the special exhibition area. The ticket for this event is a special ticket set that includes an event participation ticket, admission to Space Travelium TeNQ, and admission to Enoshima Aquarium.

The currently running special exhibition "Space Walk in the Sea" produced by Enoshima Aquarium will feature the mysterious creature "Foraminifera" which is also on display. Marine researchers will provide easy-to-understand explanations. There may be connections to space in unexpected places. In the corner where you can actually touch and classify star sands, you can take home the star sands you have actually sorted.

  • Principal Investigator, Ultra-cutting-edge Technology Development Program, Ultra-cutting-edge Research and Development Division, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. PhD (Science). Researcher of foraminiferal biology. In recent years, he has played a central role in research on rearing deep-sea creatures in collaboration with Enoshima Aquarium and JAMSTEC.

Ms. Yukiko Nagai, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC)

  • Associate Researcher at the Ultra-cutting-edge Technology Research Program, Ultra-cutting-edge Research and Development Division, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. PhD (Academic). A cell biologist, he cultivates foraminifera, an organism that is difficult to culture, while studying their ecology and shell formation process. He also has experience raising a variety of other marine organisms.

Eusapia Co., Ltd.

  • After earning a PhD in Human and Environmental Studies in Marine Biology, he gained research experience at JAMSTEC and other institutions before moving into science communication. He is currently working to communicate scientific information in an easy-to-understand manner, and in 2022 he founded Eusapia Co., Ltd. He loves invertebrates.

◆Talk event special ticket

As a linked project, Enoshima Aquarium will also be hosting an event on Saturday, August 23rd, where radiolarian researcher Atsushi Matsuoka (Niigata University/Chiba Institute of Technology) will give a talk on the mysterious creatures "radiolaria" on display at this special exhibition. A limited number of tickets will be on sale, allowing you to enjoy both the talk event at TeNQ on Sat., August 11th (national holiday) and the talk event at Enoshima Aquarium on Sat., August 23rd. This special ticket includes one event participation ticket for both days (one each), one admission ticket to Space Travelium TeNQ, and one admission ticket to Enoshima Aquarium.
