Converting arena lighting to LED
Since the arena first opened, metal halide lamps (HID), which are close to natural light, have been installed in a ring shape on the walls at the top of the stands and on batons hanging from the roof. However, in order to promote energy conservation, reduce the environmental impact, and create a lighting environment with a more dramatic effect, all lighting in the arena will be updated to LED.
- Updated: March 2016 (outfield side) / March 2017 (infield side)
- This will be implemented in stages, taking into consideration the viewing environment for players and spectators during Baseball games.

- Floodlights: LED approx. 700 lights (before change: HID approx. 1,200 lights)
Introducing the latest sound system
As the main speakers, 22 cutting-edge line array speakers will be installed next to the back screen, the first of their kind in the world to be permanently installed in a stadium.
This system is used in live venues and other venues, and provides a more comfortable acoustic environment by reducing delay and providing high reproducibility and a uniform sound field.
- Updated: March 2016 (outfield side) / March 2017 (infield side)
- Speakers: Approx. 110 units (previously approx. 140 units)
All toilets are equipped with warm water washing toilet seats

- Number of installations: Approximately 230 locations on the 1st to 4th floors. In order to conserve water, a precious natural resource, Tokyo Dome has adopted a rainwater recycling system since it opened, and uses water for flushing toilets.
Improvement of the surrounding environment
We will also be promoting the creation of a safe and secure city by improving the environment around the exterior of Tokyo Dome building, including creating green spaces, developing an artificial ground, installing new elevators and stairs, renovating public toilets, and increasing the number of outdoor lights and converting them to LED.
- Update period: February 2016 to January 2019
