2011年度東京ドームMVP賞が決定！

Every year, Tokyo Dome Corporation presents the Tokyo Dome MVP Award to the player from the Yomiuri Giants, whose franchise is the Tokyo Dome Dome, who has performed most outstandingly in official games at Tokyo Dome. This year's winner is Abe Shinnosuke.

Abe recorded the team's highest batting average, home runs, and RBIs at Tokyo Dome, and led the team on both offense and defense as captain.

The awards ceremony was held at the Suite Restaurants inside Tokyo Dome on November 22nd, and Abe was presented with a prize of 3 million yen by our President and CEO, Shinji Hisayo.

In addition, we presented the "Tokyo Dome MVP Rookie Special Award" to Takuichi Sawamura with the hopes of seeing him do even better next season and beyond. Sawamura has been a great player, pitching 200 innings, the first time in 44 years that a Central League rookie has done so.

Sawamura was awarded a prize of 1 million yen. This marks the second consecutive year that a special rookie award winner has been selected, following Nagano last year.

I am very happy.
This is my second time receiving this award and I am very happy to have achieved good results at my home ground, Tokyo Dome, and to receive this award.
I will do my best to win the award again next year.

I am delighted to receive this award.
Playing at Tokyo Dome, the support from the Giants fans is amazing and very encouraging.
Since we were eliminated in Climax Series this year, next season we would like to play in Japan Series at Tokyo Dome and win the championship.
