2000年度 MVP賞

2000年度東京ドームMVP賞が決定！

On November 24th, the 2000 Tokyo Dome MVP Award ceremony was held at the Suite Club Restaurants inside Tokyo Dome.

This award is given annually to one player from each of the two teams, the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and the Nippon Ham Fighters, whose home stadiums are the Tokyo Dome BIG EGG, to the player who has achieved the most outstanding results in the official games held at Tokyo Dome that year.

This year, the 21st time the award has been given, the winners were Toshihisa Nishi from the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and Michihiro Ogasawara from the Nippon Ham Fighters. Both players were presented with a prize of 3 million yen by Ariatsu Hayashi, president and CEO of Tokyo Dome, and a complimentary ticket for two to the Excellency Suite at TOKYO DOME HOTEL which opened in June 2000.

I was surprised when I first heard about it because I never thought I would receive this award. This year has been a good year for me personally, and we have become number one in Japan as a team, so I am really happy to receive this award, which is like a big flower on top of everything else.

I am very honored to receive this award for the second year in a row. I believe that I was able to receive this award thanks to the stadium being a good place to play and the support from the right field stands. I will do my best to be able to sit in this seat again next year.
